At Well Being Community Center, we believe literacy is more than learning to read—it’s about connection, culture, and confidence. Our programs bring families together to explore stories, share experiences, and build lifelong learning habits in a welcoming, bilingual environment.
Why Reading Together Matters
Reading out loud is one of the most powerful gifts you can give a child. Hearing stories helps light up the brain—strengthening visual imagination, story understanding, and word meaning all at once. In fact, experts agree that the single most important activity for building the knowledge children need to become successful readers is simply reading aloud to them. It’s a small moment with a big impact, turning everyday stories into building blocks for lifelong learning.

A multicultural, multigenerational program that brings storytelling, art, and family connection together.

Prime Time Family Reading / Lectura en Familia
